From New York To Quebec City, Ice Hotel Celebrates 5th Anniversary in Style
Ice Hotel featured on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on January 18, 2005 and held a spectacular inauguration party for its 5th season on January 19th.
Quebec, Canada (PRWEB) January 25, 2005 -- After being featured on ABC’s
“Good Morning America” and its spectacular inauguration party, it is sure that
Ice Hotel knows how to celebrate.
On January 18, New Yorkers and “Good
Morning America” viewers were able to admire a sample of the real Quebec Ice
Hotel. A bedroom, ice bar and a lounge were created for the occasion in the
heart of Times Square, on the corner of 44th Street and Broadway. The
eye-catching display was made overnight with 33,000 lbs of ice. “It was
magical,” says Jacques Desbois, CEO of the Ice Hotel Quebec-Canada. “The superb
collaboration between the Ice Hotel, Good Morning America, Tourisme Québec, and
the Greater Quebec Area Tourism and Convention Bureau teams allowed for a truly
successful event, and we are proud of everyone.”

Colorful
Official 5th Anniversary Opening Night
The Ice Hotel team returned to Quebec
City just in time to complete the preparations for the 5th Anniversary
celebration of the Ice Hotel in Quebec. On January 19, more than 300 guests
enjoyed a hot inauguration party that began with stunning juggling and fire
breathing performances by street creators who amazed the crowd with their
skills. This was followed by a breathtaking pyro-musical fireworks display
created by the award winning team of Royal Pyrotechnie, after which the arched
doors of Ice Hotel Quebec-Canada 2005 were officially opened.
The light
snow, fantasy setting and unique atmosphere of the Ice Hotel combined for an
enchanting evening as the party continued with performances in the charming Ice
Chapel by the Monteregie Gospel Choir and the Ice Band heated things up in the
bigger than ever N’ice Club.
It is the ideal time to come visit or stay
at the Ice Hotel. Make the experience even more magical by combining it with the
activities offered by our partners: Aventure Inukshuk (dog sledding), Portneuf
Aventure (snowmobiling), Catshalac (Ice fishing), and Duchesnay (cross-country
skiing, snow shoeing, skating).
January 7 to April 3, 2005, celebrate Ice
Hotel's five seasons. It is an ephemeral and grandiose place to rediscover
yearly.
