(PRWEB) March 17 2005 – The 2005 Pritzker Architecture Prize Laureate will be
announced with a full media kit, supporting background information and
photographs on the PritzkerPrize.com web sit on Sunday, March 20 at 9 a.m. PST.
The story is for publication and/or broadcast on Monday, March 21. By
releasing the media kit on Sunday, the intent is to provide all media throughout
the world the possibility of breaking the story at the same time.
The
on-line media kit provides links to high resolution images that may be
downloaded for printing and/or broadcast. In a few cases, the links are to the
photographers who took the pictures because they must give permission to use the
photos.
There is an announcement release, a citation from the jury, plus
individual comments from the distinguished jurors who make the selection each
year for what is acknowledged as the profession’s highest honor, often called
the “Nobel” of architecture. Biographical information is provided about the
laureate.
There is also a short feature on the location of the ceremony
where the prize will be presented in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion (so named for the
late founder of the Pritzker Prize) of Millennium Park in Chicago on May 31. At
that time, a $100,000 grant and a bronze medallion are bestowed on the laureate,
who will be the 29th honoree since the prize was founded in 1979.
