Houston, TX (PRWEB) April 19, 2005 -- Dan Workman Music, a music production
and artist development company, has taken on management and PR for yet another
great talent - Houston-based Americana singer/songwriter, Glenna
Bell.
Spring 2005 brings the release of Glenna Bell’s second CD, Face
This World, recorded at the world famous SugarHill Studios in Houston Texas. The
album was produced by award-winning vocalist, songwriter and musician John Evans
whose band also backed Glenna on upright bass and drums. Aside from John Evans
singing two duets on the album and playing washboard, other guest appearances
include Chris Masterson, of the Jack Ingram band, who added guitar to several
tracks, and Brian Thomas of the Jesse Dayton band who made a stunning guest
appearance on “Cosmos Café.”
Face This World captures the very essence of
traditional country music invoking heartache, love and loss with a stripped down
yet powerful presentation. A singer/songwriter with an engaging and definitive
history, Glenna’s latest release reflects a revealing perspective rooted in the
past, which also appeals to contemporary listeners.
Everyone in the path
of Glenna Bell’s music has been moved and she has gained the elusive respect of
many fellow musicians and peers. Producer Dan Workman, whose professional
credits include working with Beyonce, ZZ Top and Clay Walker, says, “Glenna Bell
is the Loretta Lynn of Texas. No, that’s not right, she’s better.”
Dan
Workman Music, a full service production company, added its artist development
division in January 2004 and has proven to be very effective in helping launch
the careers of up and coming artists.
Logan Bosemer, Creative Director
for Dan Workman Music adds, “Glenna’s authenticity is desperately needed in
country and roots music today. Her unique sound and image are incomparable to
anyone else out there.”
Bosemer, a Nashville transplant, has worked with
artists big and small including BR549, Diamond Rio, ‘Soggy Bottom Boy’ Harley
Allen and current multi-platinum favorite, Keith Urban. Dan Workman has recorded
some of the biggest names in modern music including Destiny’s Child, Beyonce, ZZ
Top, Clay Walker and more.
Total dedication to the creative process
allows the company to be involved in the evolution of an act for presentation to
the professional music industry. Look for Glenna Bell, everywhere, in
2005.
